The position one gives enriched white light on the most effective blue wavelengths in the "max" position for light therapy sessions. The white light becomes warmer (orange-yellow colour) when the intensity is reduced for comfort use as a desk lamp or auxiliary lamp throughout the day. On position two, the light is a specific soft blue which is just as intense as the intense white light.
